26RR Helmet shelf

Hello all. The Mrs and I just purchased a 2016 26RR in hopes of bringing our Honda Pioneer 700 along camping. Prior to this we had a 2001 Thor Wanderer Wagon but the rear bunk bed made it impossible to get a side by side in, hence the upgrade.

Well last night we tried pulling the side by side in and found out it doesn't want to fit, at least not without scraping the helmet shelf on the right hand side.

I've done some researching on here and found a few others that had this same issue and were able to remove and / or customize this shelf. I was hoping someone could post up a how to or give me some instructions on how to proceed. Just doing a quick visual check the only screws I can see are the two square heads that appear to hold the helmet shelf to the other cabinets. Thank you for any help!

I moved mine just unscrewed used same hardware to install on the other side. It does leave the end panel the the next cupboard open and you have to make a new end panel for it but its not too hard.
