I was told by a tech at etrailer that you want about 3" of clearance to the fender so if that was all I had he didn't recommend going with a bigger tire

I ended up going with maxxis 8008s in a slightly larger size of 205/75/15 and ordered a set of aluminum rims. I'm hoping these will work well for me

Keep us posted how they fit. I am too looking to increase tire size on my 2016 27rr. Would love the piece of mind of having "e" rated tires. Overkill yes but when your talking the safety of the family it's money well spent.

I got them installed today. Took my clearance to top of fender from 3" to 2.5" but I think it will be fine

The minimum recommendations are 3" so you should keep a close check until you are convinced they are not hitting anything.
