I know it's been awhile since I've posted here.....but that's a good thing. The 26RR has held up well...especially considering some of the places we go for MX races. In fact, we were racing at a location where it stormed all Saturday. Our friends have a XLR Hyperlite and had rain coming in through the slides. The 26RR didn't leak a drop and is the default hangout when MX races are on the TV.

We did, however, have our first real incident about a month and a half ago. It started with a simple blowout about 8 miles from the house. No problem, got it changed, and placed 4 brand new tires on it the following Wednesday.

On Friday, we headed out to our next race. Headed up I35W fat, dumb, and happy until someone starts honking and pointing behind us. Sure enough, the passenger side of the camper is billowing smoke. Get pulled over and find a broken spring on the back axle. That smoke was my brand new tire with 30 miles on it becoming one with the fender well. Called AAA, and 8 hours later, we end up right where we started.

Finally got it fixed this week. We went with an upgraded Lippert axle (apparently the spacing is wonky and a Dexter won't work) with beefier (2200 vs 1750# springs) and flipped the axles for about 5" more height. And for the record, I've had the rig weighed and I'm not over weight. Very close to the max, but not over.

Unfortunately, we probably won't get to pull it anywhere since it's the offseason, but I will be living in it again for a week or so while the fivver is in the shop for some warranty work.

Glad it turned out OK. Mine is now always near the weight allowed and although I got the spring hangers etc changed I should have changed to heavier springs also. I may do that next spring. It is staying put at Habitat in Dade City, FL until March or so therefore the springs are just resting for a few months.

If you want the part number, let me know. They are a direct bolt on...no mods required.

Yes please. That would help. How does it ride with 2200 lb springs?
