Happy new owner of Wolf Pup 17RR

Just picked it up today. I'll try and post more about it after I learn a thing or two. What I can say thus far is that I towed it with a Honda Ridgeline, standard hitch, 200 miles. It towed beautifully (empty of course), but I don't expect that to change(crossing fingers).

Thanks for all the well wishes

I took it dry camping over the weekend. I can say that putting an 800lb ATV in it definitely made the Ridgeline work harder pulling on the hills, but it did fine.

Got a bug or two to iron out. The microwave (magic chef) does not work. called dealer and they are ordering a new one. It seems like a pretty simple trailer which is good for the newbi RVer (me).

Congrats on the new pup! Simple is so comfortable...

I took my TT in twice to get the microwave fixed. When I showed the guy at the dealership the video of it not working again, he saw what the problem was. Turns out that I was not closing the door completely.

Now if only I could understand how to program it for less than power 10 I will be happy. I can do it in a round-about way but there's has to be a better method to it. (Magic Chef)

I had heard of issues regarding closing the door properly? What were you doing wrong? What I was seeing with mine was - LCD lights were on could set clock, and program the console but when I hit the start button, the only thing that would happen was the timer would begin it's count down

I was pushing the lower part of the door closed, the keypad would take commands but the start button didn't do anything. (Timer would not count down, oven would not start)

After it was pointed out I could see where the door could look like it was shut and once I looked up higher I could see that it was not completely closed after all. The mystery was solved on how the repair guy could cook oatmeal in the microwave but I couldn't. The fact that he was able to reproduce the same effects helped me to understand the problem.

On my second trip I wasn't a completely happy camper because most of my meals were intended for the microwave. Lesson learned and now I have a back up plan just in case...

Congrats on the purchase! I'm still waiting for the snow to melt to take mine out for the first time.

Glad you guys mentioned it- I never even thought to test the microwave. I picked mine up the end of October and because of a couple of delays I had my dealer winterize it for me. That meant I couldn't try a few different things; but I hadn't even considered the microwave.

Thanks Terier,
I'll have to give this a try just in case. After reporting the problem and having them order a new one, I don't know whether to hope it works or hope it doesn't lol.

I know what you mean:-)

But remember there is a difference - your microwave timer would count down while my timer didn't count down.

As long as you are up and cooking - all is ok in my book.

What did the overnight lows get down to? Did the trailer do the job of keeping you warm?
