Installing Direct tv to 2008 Wolf pack
I have a 2008 27' Wolf pack toy hauler. I have been trying to get my Direct tv to work with a no go. I have plugged in the Coax to the outside satellite hook-up, and hooked the inside hook-up to the box, and then to the tv. I have tried to adjust 2 different direct tv dishes, and none did anything. I have since bought a signal meter, and I still cant get anything, what am I doing wrong?

Try connecting directly from antenna to receiver. Get a good picture then try your connection. What receiver what antenna are you using?

Is your standard receiver programmed for the type of satellite dish you have? If it's a receiver that you use in the house and now you are using it in the TH, you may have select a different satellite setting if you have a seperate satellite for the TH.
I see that you have the cable from the satellite hooked the outside sateliitlle jack, but make sure you that inside, you are hooked the other jack, not the ANT jack and as turbo said, make sure the green booster light is off.

A installer from Direct tv was out yesterday, and the dish has a slight bend in it, I never noticed the bend when I bought the satellite dish, but he says that is why it wont work. I need a new dish.

Find that hard to believe... I've installed dozens of dishes and there's not much to them. Even a slight bend wouldnt eliminate your signal totally. More likely a bad cable or bad lnb, but a bent dish? You'd have to have a severe bend in it and the arm no where near its focal point to get nothing off the birds.

Both, the new dish is a slim-line, the old one was just the round one.

To clarify - the lnb is the little electronic receiver that sits at the end of the arm on your dish - did they replace everything (including lnb)? Just that its the lnb or connection that fails. Never heard of a dish being "bent".
When you say "slimline" do you mean an 18" dish for one bird?

I know what the LNB is, when I say slimline, I mean a slimline HD dish, that is oval shapped. The old one was 18"

Sorry.. That wasn't clear from your posts. Just that it's usually the LNB or cable that goes so if they replaced the whole thing you'll never know.
