Motorcycle tie downs

Hey all , thanks to all reviews and comments on here I just brought home my 26RR.

Now the fun begins, I want to install a bike chock. But with the underbelly sealed looking for the best way. Was thinking about cutting a square hole in underbelly seal where I want to put chock then taping it back in place. Any Ideas are welcome.

A square hole will work however I would recommend you cut a three sided hole (flap) with the non-cut side forward and then use foil tape to reseal it.

Wheeldock

We are currently camping at Stone Mountain Georgia and brought our Victory Vision along in our first trip 26RR from Toledo, Ohio. (725 miles). I thought the tanks might be an issue with bolting down my Wheeldock Wheel chock but found that others just put the Wheeldock wherever you want the bike to sit. No need to bolt it down. It holds the bike upright and my straps to all six tie downs kept it tightly in place for the trip down. Hopefully this will work going home next week. I must also say that in order to get enough tongue weight I had to move the 900 lb. Victory up halfway over the axles so the tanks don’t cover the floor where I could bolt down the Wheeldock. I guess for now I will refrain from cutting two holes in the floor and let the chock work as designed. Good luck to you. I can’t get pics to load on our slow internet here but will ad them when I get some speed available.

I have the Baxley LA chock and didn't bolt it down but it is a pretty big chock with a fairly wide footprint. I got that one so I can stand the bike up straight in the garage for service. Our maiden voyage over the week of the fourth went perfect. The bike in the chock with 4 tie downs did not move at all over around 200 miles on Michigan roads. I have a 2017 HD Limited.

I have a 2017 Kawasaki Concours 14, 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere, and a 2017 KTM 500 EXC (as well as a couple of four stroke trail bikes for the kids).

This is a great solution and the one that I intend to use as it doesn't require you to compress the forks (Causing leaks through the fork seals). The only caveat which I haven't figured out yet is getting up under the gas tank to install the through bolts.

https://www.pit-bull.com/motorcycle-trailer-restraints

I did 9000 miles last summer with just the Yamaha and the bike fell over several times. As the trailer bounced the straps could slip off when the bikes suspension compressed. It's fixable using straps with locking hooks, but it's still taking up a lot of room that other bikes/ATV's could be using and it's not good for the bikes suspension. It's a big dirt bike with crash bars, so no harm done to the bike from falling over, just annoying.
