2016 Ford V10 Oil Change Caution

Don't believe they are related. My earlier V10 required 5W20 and it was the 20 valve. My current V10 is a 20 valve and it requires 5W30. Maybe some of the class A owners might have more insight on this.

All this talk of 5W20 vs. 5W30,,,
is making me wonder if we would all be better off with 5w30 ???

I thought the F 53 had the 30 valve v 10 and took 5W20, and the E 450 had the 20 valve and took 5W30. Mines a 2016 E 450 and takes 6 qys of 5W30.

My 2013 E-450 calls for 6Qts of 5w20 !!!
# of valves is unknown to me !!!

Don't know how many valves my 2011 gt has, but I do know the manual says 7qts of 5w20. While we're here, has anybody who does their own oil change used Rhino ramps max 16000 gvw rated? They mostly get very good reviews, but the 12000 Ramps have some ghastly reviews.

The way I look at it is if normal maintenance is followed using whatever oil the oil cap calls for then the engine will out last the cheaply built RV portion of the unit. So I'm more focused on all the other stuff although I do drive it and maintain the engine to last. That is to say driving at 60 mph, no sudden starts or stops, etc.

Rhino Ramps look pretty good !!!
I made my own ramps many years ago out of womanized 2 x 10s !!!
And a Chain Saw !!! Draw back is they are very heave !!!
I also have a set of steel ramps that I have not been able to use in years because they slid on pavement !!! They were ok when we had a gravel driveway !!!

regarding self made wooden ones. I considered many of those I saw, but they are all heavy. Is hard to find steel ramps anymore. Those rhinos say they outperform steel.
think ill go get me a pair Advance has them for $49.

They maybe half the weight as my wooden ones !!!
I would have to look @ drilling a hole in them so I could hang them up !!!
I have to use 3 ramps to level our MH sideways in our driveway !!!

I picked up a pair of the 12000 Ramps at Wal-Mart yesterday, was less than 10lbs and unlike the steel ones I had they're stackable.
Driveway is a little crooked eh? I'm contemplating doing the change in storage which has some large gravel to crawl over. Might be difficult to move my big butt around under my rig. Then again, I just might do it in my drive.
