5 Star Tuning? Not 5 star customer service.

I wanted a tuner from 5 star for a long time so when I moved to Las Vegas I ordered one. The cancelled my order and refunded most of my money except $13.50 processing fee claiming that I "disrespected" their emissions policy. I get that they can't ship tp CA but I'm not there. I keep my house there but travel almost full time. They claim that their policy states your order will be canceled if you live or even have a BILLING address there. It does NOT mention the billing address. Nor is it mentioned in the CA regulations that prohibit them shipping to CA. I filed with the BBB but that was a joke. BE CAREFUL

Moved thread from the Welcome Mat section to the General Tech and Repair section since I have no idea whether the member wants to tune a tow vehicle or a motorhome.
Also the post is not a Welcome Mat post since it's only about 5 star tuning and not an introduction post.

Well, I don't see the problem. You have a house in CA and apparently a CC with a billing address in CA. I don't see that they have to explicitly say billing address.
Lots of similar products have the same policy regarding CA. Nothing new there.
It was $13.50.
Now you know to change your billing address....

I've never had an issue in literally decades of ordering online and/or mail-order parts. Once in a while I have to state that the vehicle will not driven on the street in CA.
I read and read their policies and never saw anything regarding billing or living addresses. Only SHIPPING address.
Yeah, it's only 13.50. 2 cups of Starbucks. It's the devious way they did it. And; yeah; it's only 13.50. A drop in the bucket for a big company like this. You'd think customer courtesy and changing their web site would be easy.

Moved thread from the General Tech and Repair section to the General Motorhome Discussion section since the OP's topic is specific only to a motorhome chassis.

The Site Team always recommends that new members check out each section of the Forum and their sub-forums BEFORE posting. That way you'll have a better idea where to post or do research. There are sub-forums for almost every FR brand, RV lifestyles and technical areas.

Thats a really old tune and very expensive for what little gains it provides. The tuning world moves really fast and no way would I pay $500+ for an old canned tune like that. I dont have experience with the V10 Ford stuff but when I had my 392 Charger you'd get the same gains included with the Diablo Sport hand held tuner and then could pay $350 more for a real tune from a professional and they just e-mail it to you, you upload it to the diablo anf then plug it into the car. Canned was around 30HP gain, pro was 50hp. Seek other options

Ordered from them 3 times, never had an issue. Your issue seems to be on you. You ordered from them knowing where your mailing/billing address was.
Did you call and talk to anyone explaining that you “moved” to NV? They are very easy to work with! But it sounds like you didn’t move, but are staying somewhere for a while before heading back home.
