AC question?

So I picked up my Georgetown today. I keep it stores indoors. Was 93 outside, inside temp was 103! Started the generator and the display was showing E2, both front and rear AC. Figuring it was over temp
I turned on the roof vent and hooked up the toad. When I got back in the temp was at 100 and the AC turned on. Is there an over temp shutdown or protection on theSe units. I don’t know which display I have but it is a domestic AC. First time I ran into it. I haven’t looked at the Manila yet, just curious.

One of mine started with an E4 code the other week, but it works just fine even though it 'continues' showing this code constantly....

Only things typically locked out with E4 code would be heat pump and dehumidification functions. All other modes not affected.

We get the E2 error code when we travel in the SW summers. Means Out of Range Temperatures. When we pull into Scottsdale sometimes the RV inside temp is well over 110° when we arrive (fifth wheel). So the thermostat won't start the a/c up. Wonder what engineer thought that was a good idea?!!!
Our fix is to always carry a can of compressed air, like the kind you use to blow out key boards and computers with. Spray that cold air on the thermostat a few seconds and then all is well.
Other folks will put an ice pack around the thermostat.
And actually we replaced our thermostat last year and no longer get that code, so maybe they removed that idiotic temp checker and error code in newer thermostats.
