Additional shock on rear

I replaced the stock shocks on my 3010 and it has made an improvement. I have a friend that has a shop that does a lot of suspension type upgrades to vehicles and told me I should put a 2nd shock on each side of the rear. He said it may take using a longer bolt, but can be done.
Has anyone ever installed 2 more shocks on the rear and if so did you see an improvement in the bounce you get the further back you go? He also said solastics (not sure that's spelled right) would help too, although I know that would be more expensive.
Any thoughts appreciated.

IMO if you need to add a second pair of shock to the rear you bought the wrong ones.

I but Bilstein on the F250 made a world of difference towing or not.

I will likely put them on the F350 this year.

Additional shock on rear

I did put the correct shocks on. I used the heavy duty and not the comfort model on the advise of many on here. Made a world of difference in the front end. I'm always looking for an affordable way of making the ride a little better. With my friends suggestion, I thought I'd get some opinions. I also realize the ride will never be like a $5000 dual air ride system, but thought for around $200 if it made the ride a little better, why not?

I did the Bilstein up grade on my 2016 F-150, at 1500 miles.
Made a world of difference. Google to gind best orice. Can install on ground without a jack if your gut isn't too big

x2 on Bilstein. Aside from that, I've found a good sheet of corrugated cardboard makes a great temporary creeper, and is lots easier to slide on than concrete or gravel. And given the time of year, it also provides a little bit of thermal barrier!

Multiple shocks can reject heat better than a single, but this is useful mostly in off-road racing.
