Arctic package

We have a new Sunseeker with the Arctic package. Trying to use it tonight as it is supposed to get down to 28. Flipped the switch to on but the light doesn't light. I know the pads have a thermostat in series but shouldn't the light be on? I have searched the Internet and some say yes and others say it will only light when the pads are operating. Anyone know for sure

Arctic package

Most of these have a temperature sensor where it comes on at a set temp. If you are running heat then it may not be cold enough down there.

Here is a old document from FR about Artic Pak

I do not believe the light come on until the temp drops below the low point.
I guess I will have to test next time I'm in my rig.

The light will be ON when you turn on the Switch! This indicates you have 12V power to your Heaters! The Thermo will auto take over from there! Make sure you have Fluid in all your Tanks Before turning on the Heaters! Youroo!!

Yes the light should come on maybe you have a fuse blown. The doc attached by Iggy tells it all.

I don't have a Sunseeker... but my light is on when the switch is on - regardless of the temperature.

When my light went out we were in for some other warranty work and we had them check to see why the light was out. Turned out to be a loose wire by the switch.

Light should come on as everyone has pointed out, those rocker switches bulbs will burn out also. I know it happened to me, I now carry an extra one. Got a multi meter check the back of the switch for power.

For the Sunseeker MBS:
Artic package is included and provides heated pads for all three tanks.
Thermostat turns pads on at 44 and off at 66.
Is there one thermostat or three?
Does light on control panel come on at any temperature orf only when heating elements are engaged?
What do you do if fresh water tank has water but grey and/or black tank are empty?
"Cellar" is insulated and RV rig needs to have heat on to protect the lines external to the tanks.

heating pads that come on at 44* are a total waste of energy. My pads come on at 34* and I believe shut off at 40*.

Once it got really cold I was able to confirm that the light does not come on until it gets cold enough to actuate the thermostat, even though the switch is turned on. In my case it was about 28 degrees outside. The batteries also have to be "fully charged". For me they are of limited practical value.

Hello All,
I have a 2018 Sunseeker 2350LE and am also new to RVing. I have a question on the Artic/Pac button on the panel. If I have this button, am I certain that my rig has tank heaters?

Thank you in advance for any additional info you can pass along.

Most likely you do. The easiest way to tell is to look at bottom of the black or gray tank. The heater looks like a rubber pad that is glued to the bottom.

Thank you, I will look in the am. Also, can you answer one more question for me. Our water tank valves are located under the bed, there are one red and one blue tubes with valves, but also a bypass. Do I open all three when I fill the tank. And do I close them when I winterize?

We don't own the same model as you but in ours the blue would only be opened to drain the fresh water tank. The red would be the low point drain for the hot water line and would only be used when winterizing the system. The bypass valve also would only be used when winterizing. It bypasses the hot water heater so you don't waste anti freeze by filling up the water heater. Your fresh water fill is most likely gravity feed and as such no valves need to be turned to fill the tank with fresh water. Again we do not have the same model as you but that is how ours worked. Hopefully someone with your exact model will chime in.

I would only add one, thing to the above. Their is a water heater by-pass for the water heater, but there is a bypass by my water pump that diverts to a pickup hose that goes into my anti freeze container. Hope this helps. V/R. rch

Yes, if those valves are water heater tank valves, they are used to bypass the water heater.

In normal operation, the one on the red line and the one on the blue line are open and the one in between (bypass) is closed.

When winterizing when the tank has been drained, the red and blue line valves are closed and the bypass valve is open. This keeps antifreeze from entering/filling your water heater.

If you look in our library here on the forum, there are some great posts archived about the bypass valves with photos showing the different options and positions.
