Battery Replacement

Our new to us 2251 is still at the dealer so I can't measure things. But, my question relates to replacing the house batteries. What fits in the under step area? What options have been successfully used?

I have no clue? You failed to provide even a hint of what you are getting? Make, model, year would be a start.

Thanks for the reply. I did mention the model number 2251, this IS under "General Motorhomes", how many motorhomes that have batteries under their steps have a "unusual" size battery box. You have a clue yet ?

Why are you so relunctant to give at least some basic information? Are you that ashamed of what you have?
Seriously, I understand you have a motor home, and that it my be a Forest River Inc brand because your on a FR web site, but really? Many many MH brands put the house battery under the steps. It is quite common, so either give at least some basic information, or not, your choice whether you want a decent answer or not.

Think part of the problem may be that the app doesn't show signatures. Signature shows Forester "C". Original post gives model as 2251.

On our Solera the two batteries under the step are Group 27. Several forum members have reported fitting two Group 31 batteries in the under step location. Obviously my 2012 Solera "S" is a different model from your Forester, but the battery compartment may well be similar.

Measure..... twice. Even similar models can have differences from year to year.

I replaced one group 27 battery under my steps with two. No problem fitting them in.
