Indeed.
I can hear mine if I'm in the bathroom while it's in operation. If mine fails, I'm in big trouble because mine is behind the shower wall - cannot be seen. I assume I'd have to remove the shower water controls and pull the attachment panel.

Thanks everyone. It was the Check Valve. Today is the first time I have used it extensively, and it works fine. A little noisy, but it works. What a relief. Great forum!

Hmmm. Have the same problem after 4 yrs of perfect operation. We were out in very cold weather so I suspect a freeze problem.

Removed the existing backflow preventer and it was clearly not working or allowing flow in any direction.

Tested first then installed a new brass backflow preventer and no luck!

Heading out for a week tomorrow so will try the soapy water soak method to see if that unclogs anything.

Well tried the soak with soapy water and Ice one the way home. Got a light trickle from the black tank flush for a little while. Turned water off and on and no flow. Suspect the sprayer nozzle inside the tank is plugged but stuck on what to do next. 🤷🏼*♂️

if all else fails, you can always install a "Quickie Flush", an aftermarket flush unit, ... I've installed four QF's in tanks that didn't have a factory installed flush unit, ... two black tanks and two gray tanks, ... easy to do and they work very well, ... there's another model called a tornado that rotates while spraying, but I've read more than a few reviews about it seizing up and stopping to rotate, ... guess then you have a "Quickie Flush" by default, ...

We purchased the connector for winterization with compressed air.

That connector could easily be installed on the black flush connection.

You could carefully pressurize it with air above #40.

When our black tank refused to drain we traveled with it for 400 miles with Calgon and dawn soap. It started flowing well then.

Switched to single ply tp. The double ply was apparently too much!

When we drain our black tank I add Calgon, Dawn and some enzyme packet. Seems to work well.

We also add dishwashing grey water the first night(Rubbermaid pan). More soapy water. Filling our gray tanks too quickly is our problem. I do not like paper plates.
