Blurry sideview camera

I have the backup camera with side camera option. . Traveling today I noticed the drivers side camera is foggy or blurry in appearance. . I cleaned the outside lens so that's not the problem. . Has anyone experienced this. If so what did it turn out to be.

Ive got the same problem, Rt side view fogged up, Ive got another camera coming from RVS, Going to replace it myself. I just did want to send the RV to the dealer for a couple of weeks. All I had to do is buy the camera from RVS, then return the old one for a refund.

Could be moisture that got inside the camera.

I have had the same problem since day one. Starts out ok but after 30 minutes or so driving they fog up. Seems worse during high humidity. I have got used to it by now and just rely on the mirrors instead of the camera which everybody should be doing anyway. Coming back from North Carolina in May I had no issues with this.

It seems to be an issue with the mirror mounted mirrors which have been discontinued. The new cameras are mounted on the side of the coach. I wonder if the new mounting location has solved the issue.

Another thing, I always keep the rear view camera on when driving so I can keep an eye on the toad. Last trip we drove at night for the first time and the brightness was so distracting I finally shut it off. There does not appear to be a dimmer for the screen which would have been nice.

I have the cameras on the side of coach so the new location didnt solve the problem. I was hoping I could take camera apart and replace a gasket or seal. I will have to look closer at it today.

I pulled camera off and opened it up. . It was full of water. So I emptied the water and tried a hair dryer but it just kept fogging up when I removed heat. . I have it in a bag of rice for a few days to see if that will get rid of the moisture on the lens. .

all attempts to clear camera of moisture were unsuccessful. I contacted my dealer who sent me a new side view camera. I installed the camera and all is working great. Install took 15 minutes.

Can anyone advise how I can get into the camera that is attached to the mirror? I opened the rear one and removed the moisture and it helped. I don't want to damage the mirror, as I did not see an obvious way to open it. Thanks!

Your not talking about getting into the screen on the windshield in the cab?

I want to open the camera that is attached to the outside mirror so I can remove the moisture from it. Did the rear one, it is simply bolted into the bracket, but the ones on the mirrors look like they were glued in place.

Mine are on the side of the coach not the mirrors. I believe the entire mirror assembly needs to be removed. Then camera has a nut that comes out back allowing it to be removed

Thanks, I will keep trying to get it apart. FR replaced the entire mirror + camera assembly as a unit before, on the other side, it was defective when we purchased it. So maybe it is a pain to deal with just the camera...
