It was just for a minute to take the picture. I went right back inside after. I promise.

It’s bad enough to disturb other campers with these lights, but it’s also OK to call them names like fuddy duddies?

Window shades will not help if your trying to enjoy a nice campfire.

My wife hates the smell of a campfire, maybe I will have to ask you to respect her concern if where camped next to each other?

Nice, I ran blue lights under my camper and love having the lights on and they are not bright enough to bother anyone. Thanks for posting.

What did you use to hold that Purell?
I’m also interested in the lights, but that caught my eye. Sorry to be off topic.

How much did they charge to install them?

Looks very nice, do you know the power draw on them? And I am assuming they are 12V.

Installed mine to the under rail near the opening of storage doors. They are expensive but look great. Ran wires to hook up to battery just across frame and put the controller next to the batteries. Think they look great and add a lot to the motorhome at night

Ditto, which is why we try to avoid commercial or semi-commercial RV parks. The LED strips are notoriously bright when fully powered. It would really be nice if folks who have them would dim them when they aren't needing them to see the tree roots or other obstacles in their campsite. The frequency of that blue light may keep rodents and other critters away because it irritates their eyes. Well, it also irritates my eyes, and I don't think mine are much different than a lot of other folk's eyes. It's very similar to the lights used by public safety agencies on their vehicles because it's really obnoxious and pretty hard to say "I didn't see you."

Then perhaps WalMart would be a more suitable campground for you.

I concur. I think they are not considerate in a campground, if they are on all night. We make a point to turn off our porch light when we crash for the night. LED strips are useful, but they are bring frequently overused. Around here, some liquor, tobacco, and convenience stores have them outlining their windows. I think light is appropriate for security, but camping is better left to the provenance of campfires and perhaps candles or Tiki torches.

Love the lights. I bought some cheap ones off Amazon and after sitting in the garage for a couple years finally installed them last week. They are so much nicer to look at than the bight white led awning lights.

High color temperature LEDs 4000°K and above (bluish-white, which produce the most light per watt and are cheaper to manufacture) will disturb circadian rhythm and severely affect night vision.

Blue LED lights
We like our under belly blue lights on our camper. They are decorative and light up the camper area when we are returning from several camp sites away from our friend’s camp fire. Two notes though:
1. Out of courtesy for other campers we turn them off at 10 pm.
2. On 2 occasions the blue lights have attracted clouds of hundreds of gnats and mosquitoes at night. This made it impossible to get into the camper without bringing a lot of bugs with us.

I’ve seen some amber colored lights under RVs while driving at night. They were not too bright. Outlining some of the vehicle looked like an increased safety measure & besides it was really cool.
Can you control the color and brightness on the ones you guys installed?
