Booster seats in a class C

I currently own a travel trailer but I am renting a class c to take to Glacier and Yellowstone. I have a 7 year old who still rides in a booster seat. For those of you with small kids do they us a booster seat in the RV?

Thanks for any replies

Michael

So we have a class c with seatbelts in the couch and around the table and we have used booster seats for the GrandKids.

Realize that booster seats need to be anchored in REAL vehicle seats, typically NOT RV unit seats, other than the co-pilot seat.

You may have a child secured in their booster in a couch sitting sideways.
That doesn’t make this arrangement survivable....sitting sideways.

You mention “around the table”.
Is this a dinette setup, and seatbelts in the forward facing position?
A rear facing seat will have the Grandkids snapping back in the seat in an accident.

Just sayin’

Although I have not had the need to use a booster, my Forester has seatbelts and center tether D rings in the front facing dinette booth seats for use with child seats.

I never thought about it, but the safest place for a child is the passenger seat. This organization makes some good points.

This lady is kind of snotty, but her logic is good.

She recommends a separate car. If you watch the crash test video, its hard to argue with her.

Thanks I am quite aware of car seat installation and saftey requirements in vehicles. But totally understand your concern. Riding anywhere within the confine of an RV other than the driver and or the passenger seat is risky for any age. Just saying.

Our class c is set up for child seats on the dinette but no shoulder harness on any seats other than the driver and passenger. Without shoulder harness I would not use a booster. At seven years old the child should be able to still be in a child seat. The place you are renting from should have ways to safely travel with kids that age.
