Class C Factory Sponsored Video Requests
I was thinking about shooting some videos for our Facebook page to cover common requests. With many of the requests in this forum, I thought it might be a good idea to let the posters guide the ship.
Soooo, in this post, please list items that you might be interested in seeing a video of. Just remember, I only represent Sunseeker, Forester, Lexington & Solera (so keep the requests to those models).
To get the ball started here are a few that I was looking at (you can post new ideas or vote for one from the list)...in no particular order
Video tours of certain floor plans
"How to" on playing DVD's from the M4 radio
How the Air Flex extensions work
Serta
Construction
Factory tour etc, etc.

oooh, ooooh, how about a sneak peek of our new floor plan? I hope to take the prototype out for a weekend trip soon for testing. Maybe I can get a "blurry" video walk through?

A good walk through of the water system on the Solera would be nice. One area that has given me "opportunity" with this rv.
Another suggestion-non video related-how about simple stick on labels on all the valves? I know you can't write specific manuals for each model at your price-point, but there are some specifics that are very important.
Thanks!

Include how to operate the slides, set the thermostat to auto, drain fresh water tank & hot water heater a lot posts on these and others mention. A cd included with all of the manuals would be a Class addition.

How to level, with and without hydraulic leveling systems.
Questions arise from those that have hydraulics, when one or more wheels leave the ground…

I think we should keep it unit specific as Brian mentioned. Things like hot water heater bypass RV Water Heater Bypass Systems are easily found on the net and are not brand specific.

We need to know how to play a DVD on the jensen radio in the cab and have the picture on the TV in the kitchen for our 2015 3010DS.

We need a little more information than that.
While driving? While parked?
The easy answer is to pop a DVD in and make sure the input on the TV is AV1 for units without a switch box.

I haven't looked anywhere on the Internet or the manual yet on this. We just picked up a 3010 with the 4 door fridge. One thing I never thought about was the icemaker and winterization. The guy that did our walk through said I could make an electrical wire and plug it in the back and run antifreeze through a tube in the back of the fridge. Needless to say I was a little confused by what he was talking about. I should say he didn't know the outside TV didn't pull out to get to the trash can either, and a couple other things that left me scratching my head.
Anyways, I would like to see something about how to properly winterized the fridge if there isn't anything out there already.

Page 12 of the manual would be a good place to start.

Thanks Brian. I figured there was probably something in the manuals, just haven't gone back out to get them. 4 more inches of snow yesterday in Pa. Ready for some place warm!

How about Videos on regular maintenance
- oil change recommendations (coach engine and generator)
- recommended oil, how to check levels, etc
- slide out
- roof
- storage tanks (fresh, grey, and black)
- Fridge
- Water heater (anode rod etc)
- Tires (check pressure, recommendations on replacement time/wear, cleaning)
- Storing (winter prep, outdoor, indoor, etc)
- Checking seals, weather strips, caulking etc
just a few thoughts

My first thought would be videos on trouble shooting the slides, winterizing, etc however they are all over the Internet. Staying with Forest River specific is a best bet. Looking into what only FR has and is about, showing what are the differences between models, differences in options, if heating system is specific how to run it and not have fan come on continuously ( figured that out by forum, thank u all). Where and what owners should be looking for to keep maintenance up on outside of vehicle and other continuously asked questions from the forum that owners have in common.
We don't tow a vehicle behind that may be something interesting to show options available. For those with FR products they tow, how best to tow and what is needed or not needed. How to store items in RV, safest for traveling. Just some thoughts. .
