CW ~~ some locations it is fantastic, at others it just is not very good. I'm very happy with that at Myrtle Beach. Talk to the service manager not only the service writer and parts dept.

Jayco Greyhawk won out

After negotiations with both dealers, we purchased the 2018 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV. It was a long and painful process (for me! Hubby loves that phase.).

In the end after hubby compared all the mechanical and utilitarian differences, there were two other features that were very important to us that were standard in the Jayco --- two AC units and MCD duo shades throughout.

The Coachmen Concord dealer did agree to add the shades and to upgrade the one AC - they advised that to add a second AC unit would entail rewiring and it would be cost prohibitive. But, I wasn't keen on retrofitted options. The walls aren't the thickest in these and realistic or not, I envisioned the heavy MCD blinds falling to the floor enroute. On the AC, we would still be left with only one unit (even if upgraded) - we live in Texas and travel West quite a bit and a working AC is paramount to our survival.

And, this is petty on my part, but the Concord dealer said they were not able to replace the metal blinds behind the stove due to Fire Code. In the Greyhawk, the window is not directly behind the stove, so not an issue and no metal blinds. (When I see those, I get that "no wire hangers" look on my face! LOL!)

Long story short, we go through PDI on Monday with the Greyhawk. We enjoyed our Rockwood Mini Lite TT and now look forward to continuing our journey in a motor home. Thank you for all the info and tips - everything shared was carefully considered.

We are absolutely thrilled with it and have no complaints at all.

Our first trip was from our home in Texas to Roswell NM. It handled well in high wind and rain. Rides like a dream. Yes, it is basically a box going down the road and we could feel the rush of wind when a big rig passed in the fast lane. But, nothing that concerned or alarmed us.

All appliances and utilities functioned well and there were no surprises.

The interior comfort is outstanding - we switched from a 21' TT to this 32' MH and couldn't be happier.

With our TT we wouldn't risk leaving our pup in the TT alone in the campground. But, having the built-in generator is a real plus. We didn't have a Toad with us, so drove our MH everywhere we went which we feared would be a hassle. But it wasn't - it's so very easy to maneuver in traffic and into parking spaces. We ate at restaurants while confidently leaving pup in the MH with generator going and AC on.

It's 30 amp - both AC's have kicked on at the same time and we've not had any issues.

No after break-in handling issues. Hubby did install a steering stabilizer after our trip - mainly because others have raved about it.

We never bottomed out while entering and exiting steep entrances. But just in case, hubby did install skid wheels.

I'm wracking my brain trying to think of anything that we've encountered that were issues, but there just really are none.

Happy customers here!
