dewinterize

This is my first time to winterize/dewinterize. I put antifreeze in all the sinks, bathtub, commode last fall. I hooked up to the city water connection and ran water through them all, but no anitfreeze came out. What do i do?

Did you get water out of all the faucets? Did you turn off the water heater bypass? Did you turn off the winterize valve before the pump?

You may have put antifreeze in all the sinks, bathtub and commode, but did you actually winterize the plumbing? Just pouring antifreeze into those items will only winterize the drains, not the plumbing itself.

^^^This.

Unless you actually pump the AF through via the onboard pump or some external pump, there should be no reason to expect AF to be in the lines.

If you hooked up to city water and pressurized the system and it did not leak/flood then count yourself lucky and avoid repeating that oversight.

If you want to double check for leaks you might want to put some water in your FW tank and, with the city disconnected (as opposed to off) fire up the pump and let it pressurize. If you have a leak the pump will cycle on and off.
Places that are prone to freeze damage are the flush valve in the toilet, the pump itself and faucets (dont forget the outside shower) and icemaker if you have one.
