Well, that was a fun game last night. Got home at 1:30. For those of you that have never been to a Patriots Game, the method of egress from the stadium to your car and to home is definitely "NO ENGINEERING MARVEL" But then again, I knew that already. Looking at the storm coming towards the east coast with 30-50 MPH winds. Good thing I have a front end stabilizer. Tomorrow should be an interesting day.

It's Tuesday! First day of my road trip, finally. We left at 6:40'and drove to western Mass to drop Betsy off at her parents house to visit for the week. Dropped her off at a meeting place. Father in Law has a 12' bridge on his street. Back on the road, heading west towards Albany and then down the NY State Thruway and made my way to I84 to I81 into Jonestown, PA. Just about 475 miles. Sitting here now eating a frozen dinner of Swedish meatballs, stouffer's. We had some clear sailing for the first three hours with light rain and no wind. Just rush hour traffic caused by people going to work. They all took turns cutting me off as many times as the could all the way to the Berkshires.

These Swedish meatballs aren't bad. The beer tastes better though. I'm driving solo and just sitting here having a "watch" party all by myself. Lots of rain in PA today, this place is a mud pit.

Here is what I saw on the road today. Ten dead deer. A dead fox. Lots and lots of truck tire treads. Two accidents. Rain and more rain. Clouds and fog. At one point the fog was so dense, I couldn't even read the sign that said be prepared for dense fog. I got stuck behind four slow trucks but finally passed them. I was passed by many fast trucks and idiots driving cars.

Other than that it was a boring trip today. The last 80 miles was bright sunshine, right in my face.

I saw a few forest river RVs on the road today but none here at the campground. Ok, back to beer and TV. More stupid info to follow tomorrow.

Driving South for the Winter, No Pink Stuff Travel Log

Wednesday night, 468 miles behind me and at the KOA in Statesville, NC. Saw a few weird things today. Early in the day, I saw a big mud pile that had been run over many times. It looked like someone dumped their tank and left the mess behind. Lots of hills and down grades. Piece of cake with the engine break on I81 and I77. Saw some more dead deer. Also saw this cool 4x4 RV at a rest stopClick image for larger version

By the time, morning came along, that bag of ice was put in a drink cup or melted. Got up early and made it thru the under construction Charlotte Motor Speedway fighting for lane position with all of the NASCAR Heroes on their way to work. South Carolina was smooth sailing and so was Georgia. Got all the way to Starke/Gainesville KOA. Parked and got set up just in time for a thunderstorm. Can't get direct tv to work and will deal with it later. I lost another 30 minutes of my life talking to tech support. I will look it up on line and figure things out later. Have not seen another Berkshire all the way down here until today when I pulled into the Georgia Welcome Center. I must be getting tired because I just can't think of anything interesting or funny to say.Click image for larger version

Just stopped a LOVEs to top off with fuel and DEF. got some fried chicken and ate it in the RV. Heard a bunch of gun shots and took off. While I was pulling out, I noticed a range across the street. [emoji15]

when you say your directv wouldn't work, were you trying to acquire the signal while a storm was in the area?

I bet your days in your Dynamax are all but a distant memory now. Or can you remember that far back?
