Thumbs down GT 351DS - what is this leash for?

Found a leash-like thingy near the euro chair. Dealer didn't know what it was either. Any pointers? Thx

It may be a tie down so the chair won't move in transit

Then make the dealer find out it is his job.

X's 3, I have 2 one for each recliner, I took them out they are useless. It just amazes me how much these sale's people do not know. If that recliner wants to move during travel that 1" strap will not stop it. Either chair has moved yet on me. Should be a clip screwed into the floor at one end of the strap.

X4. We also have one for our dinette chairs. If you look closely on the floor you'll find 'D' rings where you fasten the ends of the leash to.

It may not belong to the coach at all. We don't have anything like that in ours. The euro chair bolts down to the floor and the foot rest fits snugly on top of the chair. Nothing else requires a tie down. The only thing that has D rings is for the residential refrigerator doors.

Post a picture when you get a chance.

Our dealer said it was to tie down the footrest during travel... Made sense to me...

There were a couple of straps that looked kind of like leashes in our coach. The guy that did our PDI didn't know what they were for....he guessed that they were some kind of packing stuff. I just stowed them....next time I'm in the coach I'll pull them out and take pictures. I don't believe they have anything to do with the euro chair.

You are in luck since we dropped of the coach at the dealer yesterday and they will have it for at least two weeks.

We removed it since it just gets in the way.

Do you know if it was standard, or an add?

All of the 2013 and 2014 GTs I've seen with the Euro chair had the ottoman. Which coach do you have?

2012 GT's and earlier also had the chair foot stool. It should be strapped to something when traveling, remember the motorhome is traveling at 60 mph. If brought to a sudden slowdown or stop the stool continues at 60 mph, right into the cockpit, Yikes!

DH put the two leashes together and uses them as one long leash to wrap around and snug up both chairs together. Remember, I'm paranoid about one of the recliners shifting and catching the sofa slider.
