Insurance help

Well got in the mail today that our insurance company is not going to renew and no longer going to carry motor home insurance. Its National Interstate, they are suggesting Geico Insurance. What insurance do you have. I have my personal home and cars with State Farm. Thanks

Won't State Farm cover your motor home?

If not in our case Allstate was significantly cheaper than Progressive for the exact same coverage.

I _had_ The Hartford Home and Auto. Checked Geico, USAA, others, wound up with Good Sam (National General) saving over $100/Mo.

And this is what happens when you mention the word politics.

Does anyone know of any good insurance companies to help out the OP?

Clean up in aisle 5.

The site team has removed the off-topic and/or political leaning postings that were hijacking this thread, and are not helping the OP in any form or fashion.

Ugh. That's who I have my fifth wheel through. I knew that this had been rumored for a while. I guess I'll wait to get this notice... and then I'll be in the same boat as you!

Everything I own is with State Farm; house, cars boat, TT, motorcycle, also a business policy.. Get the multi vehicle discount... Our TT is valued at $22,000 insurance is like $11/month.

Keep in mind that your tow vehicles insurance will also cover any trailer that you are towing (while hooked).

I don't have any experience with class A or C RV's.

Think that would be true only for liability and not full coverage to the trailer.

Perform a Search on "Insurance"

Good Sam's Insurance ? - Page 5 - Forest River Forums

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ce-149976.html

Many people for many years have commented and asked questions on this topic. Insurance has many factors such as age, where you live, what you're covering, the type of coverage, driving history, etc..... and not limited too......

What you pay in your state may not be what someone else pays in another state. Do your research and do your own comparisons with a variety of companies "plus" contact multiple RV dealers and ask who they like to deal with and who they don't (ask why).

Just thoughts and suggestions; check the attached links, both have good information from people with experiences and personal research.

I believe you are correct. However I think that someone would benefit from actually talking with several insurance agents vs. a camper forum.

$$$$$ until I move it out of storage when going on any rv trip. Then all I have to do is get a new tag after paying for the liability insurance full premium (30 day increments) that refunds all but the 30 days. Then, SC requires me to turn in the plate until i do the processes all over again when hitting the road again. Seems stupid, but it is what it is [emoji16]

I deal with an Insurance broker. That way he can check several company's and get the best for your needs. First company we had was good but after a couple years dropped rv coverage. No we have Progressive and very happy with them.

We got what we think was a great deal from Nationwide. Ending up switching over our other two cars and homeoweners too.
BTW..you probably already know this but if you tow something behind your MH you might want to make sure it and the MH are insured by same company.
