I like some of the floor plans with the kitchen in the slide but have shied away from them, thinking that over time the extra stress on the lines would cause damage.
Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with the connections fittings or gas lines in their kitchen slide?

2015 - 2 great trips so far. Alberta to Oregon coast, Alberta to Shushwap in BC.
I'd be interested in the response on this too and on units 5 yrs plus in age of any additional stress on slide mechanisms, rollers, guides and plumbing components They have some very interesting floor plans

First camper I bought had a slide kitchen. One of the water lines twisted and sprung a leak which ruined the cabinets. Wife and I decided to never have another one that the kitchen has a slide.

2004 Cedar Creek with Kitchen slide. Has fridge and stove only but no issues with the gas line and electric cables. Both travel on " V " shaped 1" angle iron anchored on the RV and on the slide. Had to replace the bolts on all units this Summer due to rusting and used " nylon " washers in place of the steel, but no problems with the LP Gas line to the fridge as well as the stove. Elect cable holding up as well. Replaced the " fabric " under the slide with light aluminum diamond plate. Hope it will save damage from blowouts of which we had two last Winter Season on the way to Texas.
I have a kitchen slide, and posting like the 5vers here in your mh thread, the bracket has broke away for the gas/electric lines and am waiting for the warrantee replacement. I will be zip tying it this weekend so I can use the camper for Columbus weekend.
We have the kitchen in the slide of our 2007 HTT and never had any issues.

My oven, stove, microwave and frig are in one slide along with television and fireplace. Only problem I've had is in keeping the frig cool. It can't vent the heat as well with the upper vent in the sidewall as it can with roof vent. Still love the setup. Rockwood 8282ws. 2013.

I have the same problem with my 2015 Puma 32DBKS, frig will not cool below 66 degrees!!!! This is with a fan kit. The air circulation is insufficient with the set up.

Probably unrelated but, I have 2016 25dks with kitchen and sofa slide. After 5 trips, the slide-out motor failed. Camper has been in the shop since September 15th. I am concerned that slide-outs in general are prone to failures. Since this happened I am trying to learn as much as I can about how to care for them and manually operate them in case of failure.

We had a 2014 Thor with a full wall slide. Kitchen sink etc. was in the slide. We had a leak, but it was a bad fitting where they tied the outside shower into the plumbing under the sink. Our Dynamax has two slides, but no plumbing in them, makes me a little more comfortable.
We have had the slide room on the Dynamax fixed twice this summer, both slide motors failed, powergear.
We have a kitchen slide with the stove and fridge built into it. No problems with plumbing or electric but the fridge would not keep up in 85º + temps. Vent in the slide mounted fridge not great from FR. I added fans and a shroud in the top vent on the slide. 100º outside, 2º freezer, 34º fridge.
