More questions from a newbie

Thanks to everyone for being so willing to take the time to answer our questions-we really appreciate all the advice! So after you’ve pulled in to an RV park & settled in....how do you get around the RV park and near-by sites? I know lots of RVers tow a vehicle, but we will be traveling in a class C Coachmen, 31 foot and will not be towing anything. It won’t be practical to unhook & move every time we want to do some “site-seeing. Bikes, scooters, rental cars?

Any of those work. It really depends on the type of camping you'll be doing. If you're in a state park, bikes work. Many campgrounds won't allow electric scooters or bikes, so check ahead. When we both were driving, a rental car worked if we were camping some distance from where we wanted to visit.
Some private campgrounds have shuttles to nearby attractions.
We have a 26' class C and frequently we only connect water and electric so that we can disconnect and take the rig. Just leave a chair in the driveway if you're in a state campground so that no one takes your space.
It also depends on where you'll be traveling. In the west there are plenty of places to park and pull out an rv on an overlook. In the east, not so much. That's where we usually end up renting a car.

We’re newbies as well with a 25 foot motorhome. Our plan is to use a chase vehicle if within a couple of hours from home. Otherwise it will be rental, Uber or to quickly unhook and use the RV. I’ve found it to be more maneuverable than expected.

Hopefully this helps.

We downsized from a 35’ Class A and toad, to a 25’ Class C.

Now it’s our daily driver when out touring/camping. It’s not much longer than others with 4 door pickups and a 6-8’ box. Parking is still possible.....just not as convenient, but certainly not impossible.

We’re not always near Uber or taxis. We adjust.
