Mpg?
OK, who wants to list their MPG for my daydreaming research?
State what it is and a generic description- (brand, length, class, slides, engine size and fuel and mpg average). Also, throw in there whether or not you tow with it and the mpg when towing with a general description of what you are towing (toad, trailer, approx weight, etc)

09 Forest River Georgetown, 36.5ft, Class A, 3 slides, 6.8L V10 Gas,
Coach weight 21,060lbs, Ford Edge Toad 4560lbs or Honda Fit 2540lbs. Mpg doesnt seem effected by toad though I feel the edge back there more than the fit.
I try to go around 62mph. Mountains have some say in that. Elevation 5000-10000ft.
I average about 6.5mpg in the mountains. I did around 7+mpg when I lived in Minnesota which is only 1000ft.

Was looking for motorhome mpg, but since we are throwing trucks in there, I will add mine.
2000 ford f250 4x4 crew cab short bed 7.3 powerstroke/ 6 speed= 18mpg empty
with the 2010 cherokee grey wolf 28' bunkhouse (unknown actual weight)= 12mpg
with the palomino slide in camper(unsure of weight, but loaded should be around 1500+) and towing 16' trailer loaded with jeep and lots of extras (approx weight 7k)= 12mpg
I really wish someone made a motorhome on a c4500-5500 chassis with the duramax in the 30-32' range! That would be my perfect tow rig! I believe the smallest they used to make in that config was 36' and it is discontinued. WHy no smaller truck platform (super c class) diesels? WHen I eventually get one, it will be lugging around 7-8k worth of trailer and gear!

RAM 1500,2WD, Hemi 5.7, 20" AL wheels, single exhaust, A.R.E. topper
Not towing, 15-17 "in town", 20 (sometimes more) on the hiway @ <75 mph, over 75 mph it goes DOWN
Towing - GreyWolf 26RL - 6K loaded, 8.0-9.5 mpg, most terrain, closer to to 8.0 mpg while in western VA but on I-95 & I 85, closer to 9 - 9.5 mpg. Speed while is always less than 60 mph. Usually 58 mph, over the min posted mph, mostly in the right lane - "I am the traffic everyone must avoid."

2012 f250 cc 4x4 short bed (cat weight 7887lbs) on 20"wheels
20-22.5mpg hwy at 70-75 with NO or LITTLE head wind..once saw as low as 8.9 into 45mph+ headwind....gotta love texas winds! lol
towing 36.5ft lacrosse bunkhouse TT (cat weight 8846lbs)
11-12.5mpg hwy at 65-70 NO or LITTLE head wind...have seen as low as 7.5 once going into 30mph+ wind
the wind factor is huge with these trucks....i have seen as high as 24mpg hwy with a stiff tailwind going 75 on flat and unloaded....but the wind never seems to be going same direction as me usually! haha
so far the 'lifetime average" for the truck including towing, city, and hwy driving is 16.5...i would sat that probably breaks down into 10/70/20 percent respectivley.
the truck is such a joy to drive, i really dont care in the end! If only it had a switch to make parking spots bigger it would be dang near perfect!

Is it that time of year again?
Seems this poll gets run about this time every year.
There are lots of threads here just search for "average mileage"
Be forewarned though, I have never heard of anyone "rounding" their average mileage down. Some don't even round it up to the next whole number (if you get my drift).

My 2012 Georgetown MH doesn't show mpg on the trip display ... Am I missing something or are you calculating it manually?

AMEN to that, this thread is kinda like when we were kids and said "my old man can whip your old man". Just a lot of bragging. One has to out do the other, etc...

Have no idea. When its empty, we fill it up. Doesn't matter what mileage we get because it isn't going to affect our fun in any way, shape or form. Must be a man thing....kind of like the "I made the trip up north in an hour and 45 minutes. Last time it took me and hour and 50 minutes." It's all relative.
