Q For Jeep people Flat Towing

Looking for a newer Wrangler. Q is. Does anyone tow there’s using a Off Road front bumper instead of a Base Plate and if so what make Thanks

After lots of research, I went with this one for my 2016 JK so I could mount a winch and also flat-tow.

Very few advertise that their bumpers are suitable for flat towing - although many have brackets for shackles.

Looking at the picture, my (Blue Ox) tow bar attachments are to the brackets just outboard of each shackle. The safety cables attach to the shackles.

jcroffroad has bumpers that can be used for towing. I have one for my TJ and tow it. They have nice stuff.

I tow a 21 JL Rubi. I just use the D ring shackle points on the Poison Spyder bumper. I researched the hell out if this a year ago and most said it is not allowed per the mfg. turns out that is all web folklore. Had a great conversation with PSC and was told that it is recommended.
TOADs just fine.

We also use a poison spider front bumber and 13k miles flat towing, no issues at all
