"Christian Care Ministries system. It's not insurance per say, but supposedly a way of sharing expenses. I only read about it as I tried to help a friend navigate a hospital stay for her daughter. Once she said they were self-pay, the hospital wanted a $5k deposit for the multi-night stay."
I listen to Catholic radio and hear this sharing insurance advertised, I always wonder how well it works, if there is anyone to help with these complicated claims. For one thing, there is the charge from the doctor and then there is what the insurance will pay. I hope they can get the insurance rate at the end.
