RVS Camera issue

Hello,

Have a New Sunseeker, just purchased this past Feb.

Has the RVS Back-up camera system, recently during our trip back, the screen went from working to a White screen. Turned off and on, several times, still white, also white in reverse.

Power there, off & on, just no longer a visible picture.

Any one run into this, or no anything I could check or re-set, before having to take it in? I checked back by the camera, and wire and hook-up looks fine.

Thanks,
Mark

Make sure the camera lens is clean. We have the same problem and found a quick wipe fixed it...until next time. Hopefully this helps.

You should be able to tell the difference if it was just a dirty screen. Still, doesn't hurt to clean it once in a while. We use baby wipes on the one in the minivan about once a month or earlier if it looks dirty.

If it's solid white that sounds more like the lens is being overexposed. That can happen on bright, sunny days unfortunately. If it was bright and sunny, try shading the lens. (Put a hand over it, like you would to shade your eyes.) If that doesn't do it, then it might be internal.

It 'might' not be getting a signal, but with the various backup systems I've encountered so far the screen would be black if it wasn't getting a signal, not white so I doubt you have an issue there. Still, it's something else to check to be sure.

Will double check that, but it seems to be something electrical, meaning the screen is a bright white washed out, no picture at all.

I did wash unit and still backing in no picture after trip, can't say I tried wiping camera.

Thanks,
Mark

My screen turned white on the ride home from picking it up. We hit a little rain and it was white. I contacted the manufacturer and they said two things can cause it.

1) Dirty camera

2) Misaligned sun visor on the camera. The camera has infrared leds that can be picking up the visor and reflecting back.. Wasn't our problem. They said it's a simple adjustment. Loosen screws on the visor and move it up a little.

I'm attaching a pic of the second time my camera creeped out. The first time was worse. Now it doesn't get dirty so fast. Maybe they was a film of something picked up at the factory?
