Shock options

I recently ordered a set of Bilstein shocks and found out they're having problems at their facilities and there is a big back order problem. I cancelled my order and am trying to figure out an alternative or just wait till spring and get the Bilsteins. It seems like most on this forum like either the Bilsteins or Koni. I think the Koni at double the price is a factor for not going with them. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

They're for a 2015 E-450, Sunseeker 3010. Originally they told me they were back ordered till August 15. I called yesterday and they said the fronts were back ordered till September 30 and the tears till October 30. That was through eshocks.com. I checked several other sites for the model #'s I need and they all say they're back ordered. It has something to do with a new plant that was suppose to be up and running and is not.

I found a store that had the Bilstein shocks I needed in stock. Summit Racing. Should have them in a few days and will report in a few weeks how they feel.

Went on a 300 mile trip this past week. Had all 4 new Bilstein shocks on our 3010. Made a big difference in the handling! Most notable going over larger bumps like beginning and end of bridges. Definitely a worth while modification.

33-176857 for the rear and 33-187570 for the front. 2015 3010 on an E-450. Most of the charts may only go up to 2011, but those are the correct #'s for the 2015 also.

Do you mean that the ride is smoother?

I would say if you're going down a decent road you won't feel much of a difference. The biggest thing is when you hit something like a pot hole (we live in Pa. and have plenty of them) or entering and exiting a bridge the rebound is much smoother. With the stock shocks you get a jarring rebound sometimes.
We've put the safe t plus steering stabilizer, Henderson rear read bar and now the shocks. I don't think I'm going to do anything else for the ride. My wife can easily drive it now when I need a break.
