Soo.. I guess I need a new one

Based on the comments in this http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...battery+switch thread, it looks like I need a new battery/power transfer switch. Does anyone recommended anything in particular?

Info you might need to know. I've got a 50AMP coach with a 7000 WATT generator... I think that's about it. Before it broke, I could charge the battery from either the 50AMP land line or the generator (before THAT broke). My previous transfer switch was a "Todd Engineering" model. They are now out of business.

Whuch'yall, think?

Brian

You may want to find out the problem with the Generator first and make sure that didn't create the problem with the transfer switch.

That thought had crossed my mind. The generator won't start. It just cranks, never fires, never chugs, doesn't sputter, etc... Just went to start it and it wouldn't go. That was about 2 weeks before the switcher broke... as far as I can tell. MAybe they did break at the same time and I just didn't realize it. Hmm...

Thanks,
Brian

Ours is a Parallax ATS. You might try Best Converters website and see what they have. We bought our PDI conveter/charger from them. Good price and fast shipping. The owner tends to hang out on a several of the RV forums and is very knowledgable in RV electrical issues.

PERFECT! Those look like the direct replacement to my "Todd" box. I have the manual for mine and I down loaded the manual for these. They are identical. Good price too! What's up with Camping World selling them for $700+?

Thanks!
