'14 WPT 30 WRS Million Mile Bolts

Hello forum users!!

I am chasing a water leak!!!

The water comes from high up on the inside wall in the bedroom.

I removed, replaced, and sealed the bolts that hold the awning track in place (some were rusted, they all were cut to length) and caulked the track seam. It may have been them leaking.

Further investigation found that the million mile bolts (all of them) along the roof transition where it attaches at the side walls spin and won't tighten, or loosen. Same is true for those at the rear door trim.

I would prefer to be able to remove them (one at a time) and seal them with caulk behind the bolt heads.

The bolts along the bottom edge have a capture nut on the back side. Does anyone know what the other bolts tighten into? Are they the same nuts? If so, how am I to get them to stop spinning so I can tighten the bolts?

Would removing the upper wall trim provide access to those nuts?

Thanks to all who offer advice!!!

Answered my own question. The fasteners are all the same. They have a capture nut. The bolts had factory applied lock-tite. There is no way to tighten them now as the capture nuts will now just spin as the bolt is glued to the nut.

You can see them in this video:

I'll just have to caulk the heads to the transition to seal them.

Thanks for reading!!
