The weather was perfect for us....North Louisiana.

Had a cold front blow through last week, bumped the temps down from high 90s during the day to mid to high 80s.

While not an all out rain....last night sealed the deal for us. Strong storm and about 30 minutes of hard hard rain turned our site into literally a 50x12' mud pit. With 2 kids and a 110 dog we decided to head back home and go back for the trailer in the am. Lucky we only live about 20 min away. Been to this site twice last year and it rained both days and last time i swore i would pick another site if we ever went back...Spending 4 hours cleaning everything off with the hose after we get home sucks. Really appreciate all paved sites.

Your right about whispering pines. The new owners have put a lot of work and money into it. We frequent there often.
Now that we don't have kids at home we are venturing off a little farther.
We just have one child and he moved out this past June.
Second year at UT Tyler.
We are finally free to go anywhere our hearts desires. The only thing holding us back is this job I can't seem to sake. But that's life.
Empty nesting is good practice for retirement. And retirementbis a great concept!

We're in KY and cancelled our trip this weekend due to rain. We had 3 kids going with us and just felt it was the wise thing to do

We had great weather all week at South Padre Island Tx, plenty of sun, plenty of fun.

Then this morning at 6am we woke to heavy rain, high winds and neighboring campers frantically scrambling to roll up their awnings. Luckily I played it safe at bedtime and buttoned down my camp to avoid any early morning mishap. Unfortunately I forgot to take down my flagpole which met its demise in the early morning weather.

Not a big loss and we drove home today to regroup, work a couple of days, then back to SPI on Wednesday.
