Block main battery is connected to...

I was replacing main wire and this basically fell apart. You have battery main wire, hot wire from converter and main wire going to box. Is this a fuse deal I imagine. Just need to know what I’m looking at. Doesn’t look to be a disconnect. More of a place the wires split off from. Thank you.

I see one schematic has both a disconnect and 30 amp breaker. I do have a thirty amp breaker I can put in there and use as a disconnect sort of. But my hot wire from converter, would I put that on battery side with battery? This “ box” literally disintegrated.

I think it was a fuse block of some kind. I put in a breaker and it’s working fine. I’m thinking of making kind of an electrical box to put this stuff in. Everything says “weather proof, but I’m not sure how well. I’m not ocd... but some things drive me batty...
