Converter

Does anyone know where the battery converter is located on a 2016 forest river 275ulsbs work and play toy hauler?

I am having issues with the battery not charging and need to locate the converter to check to see if it ha a bad fuse or the converter is bad.

I have looked in the materials I have with the trailer but do not see where the converter is located. I have looked a few places with no luck.

Thanks!

Have you looked behind the fuse/circuit breaker panel? It's usually near the floor.

I have not pulled the panel where all the fuses and breaker are. Could it be behind there?

Yes most are.
But, most also have access to the reverse polarity protection fuses from inside the power distribution panel door. These fuses are on the DC output side of the converter and if blown, would keep the converter from charging the battery(ies). Also, do you have a battery disconnect switch?Click image for larger version

Yes, I have a disconnect switch located out on the trailer tongue. I also have those fuses and have checked them and they are good.

So you have no 12vDC current when checking at the reverse polarity fuse(s) with a multimeter? (and plugged into shore power with the breaker in the distribution panel on)
