Newbies

Just purchased our first RV, it is a 2014 Work and Play Toyhauler WPT118EC. We are very excited. However, we are trying to learn everything about it before we take our first adventure. The owners manual is not very specific to our work and play, so we could use all the help we could get. We would really appreciate it. Let us know about everything. Thank you

If you can, try camping in your driveway for a couple of days to see how everything (except your a/c) works.

There's a channel on YouTube.. rveducation101 that has some general information.

When you find something you don't understand, please ask.

Welcome from Wisconsin and congrats on your Work and Play Toyhauler WPT118EC. The owners manual that come with campers is very generic. Better to find the manufacturer and model #'s of all your appliances, go on their website and download the manual for each.

Forest river on line manuals only go back to 2015 but you might learn something from this:

Plus there is this:

Depends on what you are hooked up to. If you've got a 50/30A connection ( depending on if you are 50 or 30 ) OR you are running on a generator, you can use your a/c. If you are plugged into a regular household outlet, you're probably going to pop a circuit breaker.

Welcome and enjoy the new toy.

You can if you have a 30A or 50A hook up at home. If you don't may not want to risk it.

You need to budget the power you would use if using a smaller connection is why they said not to run the AC. Depending on how you connect to the TT you will want to watch anything bigger than a space heater on just a standard outlet. That also goes for your microwave, electric water heater, etc.

Congrats! I was bad nervous when first got our Work & Play too, as it was our first camper ever. This forum is great for info & really helped me out alot understanding how everything works. So yeah, look around here & get familiar with the different section & mind-boggling amount of info in them. Enjoy your new camper!!!
