Ramp door going soft on 07 toyhauler

We have an 07 toy hauler that we bought new in 06, and have noticed
the ramp door is soft and mushy on the right side, I don't see any way this is getting any water in it but seems to be spreading fast.
Has anyone had this problem, and what was the solution.

I did with my heartland cyclone. It was wicking in through the bolts that held the hinge on.

My bolts were leaking on the trim running up the outside edge of the ramp. Removed the trim, applied a bead od of sealer, reinstalled. No more water problems. I did this because I noticed water from the bolt heads when I would lower the tailgate. Also remove the outer trim one piece at a time and reinstall, It is what holds the outer part of the tailgate on. If you remove all of it at once, the outer part will fall out, and you may need friends to help put it back together.
