2 heat related questions
My hot water doesn't work on AC? I did flip the hidden switch, which is supposed to enable electric only (I think) When I turned on propane it worked great.
Am guessing that heat is through propane only? When on AC only it just blew air and turned off. I'm assuming that's because it didn't detect the gas heat?
My 1st time hooking up, so not even sure how things are supposed to work. I'd like to run as much of AC when available.
Cheers and thanks

You didn't, by any chance, plug the tt into shore power and flip the little "hidden" switch on the front of the water heater BEFORE you filled the water heater with water, did you? If you did, you may have burned out the electric heating element (it doesn't take long if you turn the wh on when it is dry). It would still heat water on propane.

I don't think so, I ran the hot water on both taps prior to the flip. I've read different info on the best way to ensure the tank has water, not sure if running the taps was enough?

Well, if you are getting hot water now on propane, that means the winterizing by-pass valves are set correctly for summer operation and there is water in the tank.
If I remember correctly, the switch on mine is backwards from what I thought it ought to be. Assuring there is water in the WH tank (check by flipping the pop-off valve at the top of the water heater open for a second) then try the switch in the opposite position and see if you eventually get hot water. Turn your propane switch off to assure that the water isn't being heated with gas.
Good luck

There's also a breaker in your breaker panel for the HW heater. Make sure that's on, too.

In addition to the breaker/fuse in the panel, the water heater needs to be plugged into a 120v ac outlet. Since it is your first time using, could it be possible it is not plugged in?

Thanks Grizz, that was a good point. I checked and it was plugged in (was under the booth seating as FYI) I think I'll just have the dealer fix.
Cheers and thanks to everyone for the help
