2008 Shamrock/roo 21SS

Hi everyone.

I am in the final stages to purchasing my first camper. I know I want this floor plan. My question is this - I was told by one dealer that the awning over the slide-out is now standard on Roos and then I was told by other dealer that they are not standard on Shamrocks. Does anyone know if the slide-out awning is standard on either of these 2008 models?
Thanks.

Amy

Welcome! I'm not sure I've heard of any entry/midlevel trailers with slide awnings standard, but they're really nice to have. If standard from FR, they would probably be listed on the FR brochures and other material. I see 'slideout toppers' are options on the Roo and the Flagstaff models, but not standard on either of them.

Could be one dealer is ordering their units configured a certain way, with certain attractive options installed and the other dealer isn't.

Welcome. I've never seen it as a STANDARD either.
Optional, could be/probably.

it's optional. some dealers may have it ordered for their dealership with a slide topper. it's not standard from the factory.
RVWholesalers is the #1 Roo dealer in the country and it shows it as an option. so does the Roo webpage.
by the way, we didn't have one added to our 23SS and i wish we would have. now we have to have it added from another dealer or from camping world.

to the Forest River Forums. We are glad to have you.

Since Forest River changes what is optional or standard on regular basis, it is hard to say which it is. Either way, if you want them, be sure the dealer orders them with it. Whether optional or standard, they are still built into the price.

It's funny you talk about chances, my 06 had over 7 different chances while in the same production year on the interior, the exterior was the same except the wheels, they were changed.
