Yes, it is nice. So nice that I bought one!
The kitchen slide provides plenty of room (the counter space is excellent, too) and the U-dinette is nice and big. Having small kiddos, the tub is another feature specific to the model that I was very attracted to (not to mention having some counter space with the bathroom sink as well). It also comes with the wider-style hanging wardrobe closet.
Being able to get the larger bathroom w/ tub, a decent slide out (granted not the super slide but still makes a big difference when inside), all under 3,900 lbs., is great! Not to mention the outdoor fridge is kind of a nice novelty thing to have that I'm sure I'll use frequently.
We were actually looking to possibly upgrade last year (from our Rockwood 2317g PUP) and found a couple 2013 21DK's, but we were really turned off by the slide out being on the front of the camper and taking up precious awning space. So when a dealer, about 4 hours from our house, had a 2014 and we found Forest River moved the slide to the back of the RV, it was all but a done deal! Our dealer gave us a pretty nice discount IMO and great value for our trade-in.
With the decent size of the slide out and size of the bathroom (did I mention a tub for my small ones!?
), limited towing capabilities of my SUV, and being packed full of nice upgrades/amenities, this is the perfect model for my family.
I think the other 21 and 23 ft. Roo models are great, and I really feel Forest River nailed it with their 2014 21DK as far as bang for your buck and bang for the light weight of it.
