2015 Shamrock 19 tv antenna

Can anyone tell me, based on the following, if I have an amplifier on my TV antenna. I contacted Forest river with the Vin, and the have no clue.

I have a 2015 forest river shamrock, 19, there is a green button where the coaxial cable comes into the unit. I have to turn this off when hooked to cable for a clear picture....is this the amplifier. Also, my antenna is a flaw winguard, crank up antenna, and has a plate on the bottom for direction. IS this supposed to turn the antenna for better picture quality.

The only reason I ask is because sometimes I can get TV when Camping (gives the kids a beak) and at other campsites I get nothing while others are watching over the air channels perfectly.

Thanks for any help. I have only had the camper for about a year, and I am slowly figuring it out with all of the help from this site.

Yes the button is your amplifier.

Yes the dial is to rotate your antenna.

Pull down slightly and turn, must be turned back to original position to retract again.

Here is what I do to dial in my antenna, I raise it up and do a channel scan, (make sure your amplifier is on) now, hopefully you will get a few stations, now tune in to the station that wants to go in and out, slowly pull down the lock ring and dial it in until the signal gets strong, now rescan your channels and you should have your max channels etc.

If you do a scan and get no channels, turn the antenna 45 degrees and rescan.
