2017 Rockwood 183 Roo side bunk leaks when closed

I noted side bunk leakage to my dealer within weeks of taking delivery in 2016. The dealer "found nothing wrong". 4 years have passed and i discovered the side bunk again leaked when properly closed. The exterior roof canvas was swollen with water that leaked into the interior through seams and zippers. No damage, but I'm looking for tips/advice from anyone else who experienced this problem. Note, the top seal looks fine when i open the bunk, and the fore and aft bunks (that don't leak a drop) look identically intact.

Look at this thread post #8 ffor field adjustment of latch... do NOT overtighten

https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...on-208726.html

Sometimes a hard rain at the right angle pounds the rain through the gasket

If you keep zippers zipped up the water will usually stay contained on the vinyl bunk tent top and not leak into the bedding.

treat your gasket and bunk lip edge with a cleaner before closing up, and then I spray on some 303 Vinyl UV protectant .

Lastly, replace gasket on the top if you think necessary. Available by the foot from FR.

On thing to check is the top of the seal, you'll need a ladder so you can see it. Year before last my front bunk end had water in it when I opened it up for the summer. After inspecting the top to the seal I discovered two pine needles lodged in the top of the seal which you couldn't see from ground level. When I put it to bed last fall I made sure to check the seals and clean them. Although we had much more rain last winter, no leaks. This may not be your problem, however, it may be worth a check.
