2018 Roo 23IKSS - One year later

I’m happy to say our 2018 Roo has been problem fee since it was was delivered a year ago. We bought it sight unseen from RVW and had it delivered to Texas. No warranty claims, defects, or mechanical problems to speak of. (knock on Formica). We have taken it out 23 times now since we have had it. September must be a good manufacturing month.

I know we all tend to see mostly negative reviews or complaints so I thought I would share my positive one.

We have our 2016 23ws since October 2015 and never had a problem with it.
Like you, we had ours delivered...... Came from Haylett RV in Michigan, and they brought it to us in Maine.

Starting to wonder if folks that have no problem don't post....and folks with problems do !!!!!

Love our ROO !!!!

I have a 2014 Shamrock 183 hybrid... I picked it up in Indy and pulled it home to N KY. I have yet to have a problem of any kind. No trim falling off, no tents pulling out of the tracks, no roof leaks. Mine was also made in September but I did not pick it up until the following May so it sat in the lot for 8 months over the winter. I did put on new higher load range tires to make me feel better.

Yup. They're not all bad. We have a Lexington motor home that we bought slightly used 4 years ago. Bought it on a whim on vacation trading in our SOB fifth wheel and F250. Brought it home from 5 hours away and it's not had a problem we couldn't deal with. They do exist!

Loving our Roo too

We also are just wrapping up our 1st year with a new Roo 21ss and we couldn't be more pleased. Other than a couple of tiny glitches that I easily handled myself it has been flawless. 9 different state or national parks this year. We hope to accomplish the same next year. Great job Forest River. We love our Roo.

I feel that the Roo's rarely come with major problems.....
I do agree there are some glitches, but nothing that anyone with a few knowledge can't handle, and that, I think is part of the fun of owning a camper..........Fix them, do upgrades and make it your own,.

2014 Roo 21DK we bought used 2 seasons ago and it's been great.. I keep after it with regular washing and an occasional wax and it shows like new.

Very impressed with the workmanship, fit and finish compared to some of the other brands of travel trailers I've seen.

Very pleased with it and when I'm ready to upgrade, I'll be staying in the Forest River family.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who hasn't had troubles. Let's hope that we all continue with our good luck. Had a good experience with our dealer too. No complaints whatsoever.

Just finished our 4th camping season with ours. Awning motor froze and was replaced under warranty in our 2nd year. That's about it. We've never even had a problem with the OEM water filter many people seem to complain about.

My previous Roo was a good trailer and we got 8 great years out of it but this new one seems much better in quality and workmanship. Of course now I know what to look out for from past experiences. Compared to other RVs we looked at, FR quality was so much better than anything T**r Industries makes. I couldn’t believe they had trailers on display at an RV Show with trim pieces falling off, nails/brads sticking out and the worst for my OCD was crooked decals on the exterior.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences!

I have the Shamrock 23IKSS...the greatest floor plan ever. Only issue was the thermal fuse on the frig....and the water filter. But I knew better than to trust that filter!!!

I Love My Roo

Picked up our 2017 Roo23ws 2 years ago and no problems worth mentioning. We are very happy. Getting ready to take it to Florida for 2 weeks.
Wish my pick up that I tow with was as trouble free.

Starting to feel the same way....My 2005 Dodge Ram is getting old.

I'm thinking of leasing.....A dealer in Maine has 2019 Ram for $298.00 a month (no security deposit, and no money down).
