2021 Roo 233s mattresses

So I just purchased a new Roo233s. Everywhere I look it states the mattresses are 60x80. They are not 60x80. The mattresses are around 74x57.
In my old Shamrock 19 they were actually 60x80.
Has this happened to anyone else? Who should I contact?

It would seem you are looking at a normal queen your rig more then likely has an RV queen which is smaller. do a search for RV queen to get the actual size. JMHO

The floor plan states queen 60x80 mattresses in all three beds. Pictured on the site.

Go back to the dealer that sold you the rig and see what they will do.

The Roos/Shamrocks have had the same bunk door configuration / size going back at least 10 years if not longer. The provided mattresses are specific to those units. The smaller side of the fold is thinner than the larger, to make up for the difference in height between the bunk door and interior shelf the mattress lays on. When we had our Roo I never measured the mattress. If they were a true 60X80 they still had a noticeable gap between the mattress edges and the tent. If they are now smaller as you claim maybe they are trying to save a dime or two by making them smaller, who knows. I don't know how the supplier could of made a mistake and provided smaller mattresses which Rockwood/Flagstaff in turn accepted, and is shipping them with new units. In any case what you have is what you received. No matter what the brochures and website states it all comes back to the disclaimer below which Forest River puts everywhere. Once you signed for it you own it, and the mattresses they provided. I doubt Forest River or the dealer will replace your mattresses with ones a true 60X80.

The Roo mattresses are definitely NOT 60" by 80"!!!

This is the mattress tag from my 2020 23IKSS bunk mattresses. Note that the two joined (foldable) mattress sections are different thicknesses and that the total mattress measurement is 57" wide by 73.5" long. A standard RV Queen mattress measures 60" by 74", so the Roo mattresses are 3" narrower than an RV Queen.

I was always under the impression that the 60x80 thing was the bunk platform inside dimensions.

Yup! Platform size. Our mattresses have quite a gap to the bunk walls. It makes it easier to tuck in sheets and blankets, though.

Yea. I guess this is the new size. I can say that I measured the mattresses on my old Shamrock 19 and they were 60 x 80.
The smaller mattresses are easier to maneuver and store when closing up.

Can you send me a picture of your mattress tag? I am trying to order one from Lippert and need exact dimensions and part number. My tag is unreadable

Ferlee,

This post has a link to the lippert listing (including part number/description), plus price from a year ago.

https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ml#post2739487

5/23/22 price was 588.95 (36 less than now) + S&H (as a test, it was only $18 to deliver to me in the midwest), price does not yet reflect a 10% off purchase offer at the time.

At the time, if you created an account with the Lippert store – you save an additional 10% on your first order (so it makes a difference ot make a decent first order).

Hope this helps.

👍

Between the photo of the tag and Rumblefish's link, you should have what you need!

Theo: Thanks for the photo. And the math! (I started the addition but realized you'd already done it. )

Yep a nominal 60" x 74" (RV short queen). I stuck the photo in my "Roo file" so I can check what's in my olde 2005-production date 23SS. Heat still works wonderfully.
