Bathroom Cabinet

Ive been going through the camper the last couple of days, dewinterizing, and packing for a trip to Texas we're leaving for in a couple weeks. I got to looking at the cabinet in the bathroom, I never really paid much attention to it before. It looks to me, like about the bottom 2 feet of the cabinet directly behind the toilet is just dead space.

I can probably throw on a door and access it though this adjoining wall.

Has anyone ever tore into this cabinet? Is there anything in that bottom 2 feet or so, or is it just wasted space? Im seriously thinking about punching a hole in the wall to access it, but Id like to know whats there before I do.

Only another owner of the exact same model might have more knowledge about the possible space you’re discussing. From the photos (always helpful) I’m not even sure if any of the walls are exterior walls, or they’re all interior walls. Just one guess……is it possible your water pump might be behind that wall panel?

I seem to recall someone here actually opening up that space ***through the bottom shelf***, making it a top-loader for not-often-accessed supplies.

On the 235, the water supply for the toilet is at the very bottom, but the rest of that space is open. It's a mod that's been on my list for a while, but we're actually fairly well packed without needing the extra space.

Just my .02. Hope this helps!

Sorry for the confusion. Its in a 2017 Shamrock 233S. I placed the original thread in the roo/shamrock sub section.

Here is a better photo of what I'm refering to. The walls are all interior walls.

No water pump in this space. No plumbing that I know of.

I wish I could find that thread. I looked. I dont see any plumbing at all going to the toilet from that cabinet. My first thought was to eliminate that bottom shelf all together and making some kind of clothing hamper to set in there for dirty laundry. Right now, all our dirty laundry ends up in the shower because we seldomly use it and usually use the campground facilities. Now Im thinking about a door, from the hallway leading to the rear bunks. But I'd like a look at the space before I decide how to utilize it.

We have a similar space in our Shamrock. I think we can access that space from the "hallway" on the right side of your pic. We have doors there with access from both inside and outside.
Trailer is still in storage in Wisconsin so I can't look to be sure.
