I did something similar but used a product from a company called Addarack. This rack fits with my Peragon Tonneau cover. This allows me to carry toys when towing my Roo too!Click image for larger version Name: P1110256.jpg Views: 158 Size: 239.7 KB ID: 83303

Suggestion; add some bracing to prevent forward, backward rack movement.

Seems to be fine. But might be a good idea still have some pieces of 2x4's left.
