Cheap Electrical Outlets

The electrical outlets on my 2017 21ss are about as cheap as you can get and impossible to reinstall with factory replacements. Fortunitly I noticed one of the outlets was broken during the warrantee period. My dealer gave me a new factory outlet, however, when I tried to install the wires I found it was almost impossible and also why it was broken in the first place. Although it was broken again it was not as bad as the original.

(For some reason I can't get the photo to have the correct orientation.)
I had another outlet that was broken and replaced it with one made for a shallow wall that I got at a local electrical outlet store. After enlarging the hole in the wall so it would fit it worked great and now I have one solid outlet, two to go.

Those outlets are common in the RV industry. They're quick to install and they don't require a box.

Like you, I replaced most of them with standard receptacles and shallow work boxes.

I have yet to have a failure, but I do know that these outlets are not standard. Thanks for giving us owners some information on how to fix and improve on OEM outlets.

If you do anymore I would suggest looking at getting the ones with USB outlets also, I have replaced almost all of mine with these and old construction boxes.
