Coleman stove to Quick Connect

I have read several of the posts but I am still confused! I want to use my Coleman 2 burner stove and have it hooked thru the quick disconnect where the grill that came with the trailer hooks up. Will the hose I will try to link to below do the trick, or is there a problem with having 2 regulators in line?

You do not want two regulators in line! Is the regulator that came with your stove a regulator only, or does it also have the flame control valve integrated with it. If the former easy to convert. If the later, not so easy.

nope no flame control. Just the one pound LP tank fitting into the small hand screw connection into the side of the stove.

There is a product by Torjik called Convert-a-C that adapts Coleman grills for low pressure use.

thanks for all of your info I think I will just carry a few more 1lb tanks. I refill them as I need them anyway. Just trying to reduce the junk I carry

can always put a Y connector on one of your trailer tanks, then just get a hose that has an acme nut connector for propane tank on one end, disposable tank connector on other end. I have a shorter hose like that, I just bring one 20# tank extra, and use the 20# tank to connect everything from Coleman stove, to table top BBQ, to propane firepit.

Typical "bottle" LP stove uses a simple pressure regulator and runs on "high" pressure. Stove in the camper runs thru a 2-state regulator (you can see it on the front of the camper) and runs on "low" pressure. Stoves designed for one system seldom work on the other.

Don't know which stove you have, but you might look at propanegear.com to see if they have a hose or adapter that will work. They have lots of them.

^^ This. I too rock a Y-split off one of the 20# tanks to bypass the onboard regulator and run all my other propane goodies from the split line...

I ended up converting my Camp Chef 2 burner and my Weber Q to low pressure and run a Y off the quick connect on the side of my trailer. I can run both at the same time without issue or degraded performance.

I absolutely hate dealing with the 1 lb tanks. I always seem to run out mid-cooking and don’t realize it until I check the grill again.

The regulator is built into the cylinder connector. Those cylinders have a 240 psi operating pressure. Without a regulator your burners would resemble a blow torch flame.

A typical Coleman appliance conversion to low pressure QD's will look like this:

Not the least expensive solution, but works very well is a 5lb propane tank.
