Absolutely the best dishes for an RV. Light and won't break even if dropped on the floor. After a few trips in the RV we bought another set for home.

We've used Corelle dishes in our RVs and never had a problem with breakage. We downsized and I moved the Corelle into the house and use Tupperware trays and paper plates in our current TT. We have ceramic coffee mugs and Tupperware bowls, too.

Yep corelle. They are ugly (on clearance cheap) but they are darned near indestructible and being thin take up little room.

Corelle works for us. We don't like plastic either. We've never had any get broken yet.

We love our Corelle in our RV. Been used in 2 5th wheels, a class C motor home & now in our Toyhauler. Never broken anything, but have lost a dish somewhere across the USA!

I've had Corelle dishes explode before. It's very rare though. They do tend to chip over time and the edges can be sharp.

We have a few to microwave in and use melamine for the rest. Costco has some really cute ones that I think are bph free.

Watch for sales. Or better yet, every outlet mall I have been in has a Corell store, with lower prices, more choices, and open stock to fill in matching pieces. DW and I both had old matching sets of Corell when we married 13 years ago and used them every day. Only recently did we replace them with a new set of Corell, not because there was anything wrong with the old ones after all these years, but for a new pattern at a great price. We should use these new dishes every day for the remainder of our lives. Grown kids got the old dishes, still good.

I forgot to add that Camco Stack-A-Plate Holders work really well to minimize any shifting in our GTS...

We use REAL plates. Stoneware. To protect them from rattling and shifting we bought a set of plate dividers from Bed Bath and Beyond. Attachment 136471

We use the plate dividers in our Corelle also. We used to use stoneware but I didn't like all that weight in the cabinets going down the road. Corelle is much lighter.

We were concerned about the weight as well, but ours are stored in the lowest cabinet... about 3" off the floor.

We're looking at dishes for our new camper too.

Trying to keep the weight down as much as possible.

Just because they safe microwave safe doesn't mean they are. Any and all plastic have chemicals. You heat that enough you will get toxins from them.

I spent my youth eating M&M's loaded up with red dye #2 LOL.

You may not die from the chemicals in the plate, but breathing the toxins from the cars in front of you on the way to the campground will get you every time.
