Corelle ware in the camper?

I need to buy dishes, but I really dislike plastic and paper. Does anyone use correlle dishes and not break them?

We had corelle dishes in our Roo for 10 years without any breakage.
We just bought another set for our new TT.

We have used corelle dishes in both our pop-up and in our current TT. No breakage problems.

These are not Corelle, but Melamine. I think they look pretty cool....

There may be something going on with Corelle dishes. Numerous complaints about shards (exploding). Maybe now made cheaper in China? Maybe unfounded? There's Melamine, but that's like plastic.

I love the looks of these but.... They don't say they are pba free and you cannot use them in the microwave. I may still get them anyway, I'm looking at all options.

We have used Correl dishes for over 10 years in TT and have never had a breakage. I like that you can pop them into the microwave and have no issues. I did have melamine before. The kids put one in the microwave and it got a big crack in it.
I would recommend using the Correl

That's all we've used through several trailers and the only breakage was when we dropped one while stopped.

According to the description, they are BPA free. Good ratings from users.

I believe Melamine powder was what was killing pets that the Chinese were putting in pet food. I could be wrong though. I remember my parents and grandparents having melamine plates when I was young then they disappeared for a long time. Don't know if there was a reason for not being on the market for quite some time.

We have used Corelle in our TT for years. We did have a bowl fall from one of our cabinets during traveling and shatter into hundreds of little pieces. We have since put two latches on our cabinet doors...problem solved.

I've used Correlle for 5 years. No problem except can be noisy while driving in motor home. Solved by cutting waffle pads to fit in between. Holds things where I want them too

We have used Corelle in our TT for the last 4 years and the only time one broke was when I forgot to put a plate away before I moved. My parents have used Corelle in their 5er for twenty years prior to me buying mine with no problems.

Have been using Corelle ware for over 10 yrs with no chips,or breaks of any kind. And this same set was used every day in the house before we got new for every day there. And it has gotten many rough road miles over the last 10 years!

We use them at home and in the camper. The ones at home first belonged to her mother and are over 40 years old.

We also have been using correlle in our trailers for 5 years with no issues. Highly recommend it. They are also pretty cheap to buy at Wal-Mart or even cheaper when found at good will or a thrift store.

Melamine powder is the ingredient that was killing dogs. My GSD almost died from dog food. I will get corelle, I don't like the idea of anything hot on a plastic plate, it will leach toxins into the food. I have no immune system so Have to watch everything I do to make sure I don't make myself sick.

I just bought some individual Correlle plates at Walmart for our new TT. Haven't traveled with them yet.
