Coupler Height/WDH 2007 Rockwood Roo 23b

I've just agreed to purchase a 2007 Rockwood Roo 23b. This is my first experience owning a TT after doing it with my family as a kid. I've decided on going with a used 8k E2 fastway WDH. Before I go to pick it up at the park the current owner is storing it at I would like to get my ball height correct. The videos I've found show that I need to get the coupler height for the trailer in order to set the ball at that height. Googling did not yield any specific to me results but it seems that it should be in the 23-24" range. Does anyone have insight on this.

I will add that I know to properly set the WD aspect up I should also load the trailer as I were to take it camping. It will be empty for pickup obviously, so should I set it up slightly over sprung to minimize adjustment once I load up, or is this not advised and should I set it up for tow-home weight. I plan to check it out with some "softener salt bag ballasts" once I get home.

I have a Ram 1500 rated at 7900lbs. I understand the importance of the WD aspect but am well within the tow ratings if that makes any difference not operating at the extremes of my capability.

Thanks in advance!

You may be able to estimate this based on my similar 2006 Roo 23SS on my Ford Expedition. Same settings used on either of my 2007 and 2017 Expeditions and 2002 Explorer which was just a little underpowered for this trailer.

My hitch and drawbar height.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your question answered. I don't have your numbers I would advise to actually measure to the top of the coupler on your trailer and adjust the ball height. JMHO
1. trailer on level ground and level measure to top of coupler
2. adjust your ball height to about 2" higher then coupler

Thanks! I will probably adjust when I get home if I need to. I just wanted to have it close when I go to pick it up. I may bring wrenches in case it is way off and NEEDS adjustment.

The guy I bought the hitch from had the same truck as me, so it may be close already.
